Come weary saints, though tired and weak Hide away in the love of Jesus Your strength will return by His quiet streams Hide away in the love of Jesus Come wand’ring souls, and find your home Hide away in the love of Jesus He offers the rest that you yearn to know Hide away in the love of Jesus (refrain) Refrain Hear Him calling your name See the depths of His love In the wounds of His grace Hear Him calling your name Hide away Come guilty ones, weighed down with sin Hide away in the love of Jesus The freedom you long for is found in Him Hide away in the love of Jesus (refrain) Come hopeless hearts, do not despair Hide away in the love of Jesus For ten thousand joys await you there Hide away in the love of Jesus (refrain)

If you but trust in God to guide you and place your confidence in him, you'll find him always there beside you to give you hope and strength within; for those who trust God's changeless love build on the rock that will not move. Only be still and wait his pleasure in cheerful hope with heart content. He fills your needs to fullest measure with what discerning love has sent; doubt not our inmost wants are known to him who chose us for his own. Sing, pray, and keep his ways unswerving, offer your service faithfully, and trust his word; though undeserving, you'll find his promise true to be. God never will forsake in need the soul that trusts in him indeed.

I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Come unto Me and rest; lay down, thou weary one, lay down thy head upon My breast!” I came to Jesus as I was, so weary worn and sad; I found in Him a resting-place, and He has made me glad. I heard the voice of Jesus say, “Behold, I freely give the living water; thirsty one, stoop down, and drink, and live!” I came to Jesus, and I drank of that life-giving stream; my thirst was quenched, my soul revived, and now I live in Him. I heard the voice of Jesus say, “I am this dark world’s Light; look unto Me, thy morn shall rise, and all thy day be bright!” I looked to Jesus, and I found in Him my Star, my Sun; and in that Light of life I’ll walk, till all my journey's done.

The Word of God is strong and true Mighty and faithful to come through His righteousness and justice flow With steadfast love to the earth below From heaven on high the Lord looks down All people of earth underneath his crown He seeks to make his blessings known Through those that bow to his heavenly throne (refrain) Refrain Our soul waits for the Lord He is our help and our shield Our hearts rejoice in the Lord He is our hope and our seal I sought the Lord and he answered me He delivered and he set me fee From the darkness of my fears His healing rays have dried my tears The poor cry out in troubled times And the lord hears, the Lord is kind He never leaves his children distressed He longs to give them hope and rest (refrain)

From ev'ry stormy wind that blows, from ev'ry swelling tide of woes, there is a calm, a sure retreat; 'tis found beneath the mercy seat. There is a place where Jesus sheds the oil of gladness on our heads, a place than all besides more sweet; it is the blood-stained mercy seat. Ah, whither could we flee for aid, when tempted, desolate, dismayed, or how the hosts of hell defeat, had suff'ring saints no mercy seat? There, there on eagle wings we soar, and time and sense seem all no more, and heav'n comes down our souls to greet, and glory crowns the mercy seat.

I know that my redeemer lives, glory hallelujah! What comfort this sweet sentence gives, glory hallelujah! He lives, He lives who once was dead, glory hallelujah! He lives my everlasting Head, glory hallelujah! (Refrain) Refrain Shout on pray on we’re gaining ground, glory hallelujah! The dead’s alive and the lost is found, glory hallelujah! He lives to bless me with his love, glory hallelujah! He lives to plead for me above, glory hallelujah! (Refrain) He lives all glory to his name, glory hallelujah! He lives my Jesus still the same, glory hallelujah! (Refrain)
7.
With all of my heart my thanks I’ll bring, Before the gods Your praise I will sing I will bow down in your holy place To sing of your steadfast love and grace (Refrain) Refrain Though the Lord is high and Holy He regards the meek and lowly Shining, guiding, is His name and Word Give thanks to the Lord All kings of the earth shall praise bring forth When they have heard your faithful words The Lord on High they will celebrate The Glory of the Lord is Great (Refrain) Thou I walk through troubled times, You will comfort and you will revive Your mercy, O Lord forever stands You never leave the work of your hands (Refrain) Bending down from heaven to earth You sent your son to give new birth Jesus the living Word and the light Dispel the darkness and give us new life (Refrain)

about

The Gateway hymns project is a Saint Louis based collaboration. The name "Gateway Hymns" comes from both living in the gateway city, and from the idea that our music in the church is a gateway to another kingdom. When the church of God gathers to sing, it is bringing to bare the kingdom of God. Music is a gateway of sorts for that to happen.

This album is a collection of retuned hymns, original settings of the Psalms as well as new settings of old hymns. These songs are intended to be for corporate singing for the church.

PDF of music included in the download.
